Position Summary:

As a Marketing & Communications Manager of Zelax Eskala Hotel and Residence, one is responsible to primarily promote the hotel and hotels belonging to the chain in his/her area/region and also accountable for booking individual, group business, banquet and meetings on an established base of the top producing key accounts and for managing / converting high potential key prospects.

Main Duties:

1. Sources and updates mailing list on weekly basis.
2. Maintains existing business and develops new accounts.
3. Maintains good business relationship with all producers.
4. Completes weekly entertainment and weekly activities plan.
5. Ensures all incoming correspondence and telephone inquiries are handled with efficiency and great care to build up a pleasant relationship.
6. Obtains competitors’ information and reports to Assistant Director of Sales.
7. Keeps clients advised of latest information regarding hotel’s development
8. Ensures updating and filing all relevant correspondence such as reservations and quotations.
9. Keeps well informed about the operations especially in essential departments (Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, and Banqueting etc.)
10. At all time promotes a positive image of the hotel in all forms of contact.
11. Develops & fosters close and positive rapport with the public, guests, clients and members of the trade.
12. Familiarizes with the operation and application of the hotel's computer / data processing system.
13. Ensures the utilization of in-house software especially the “sales and catering”, use it efficiently and maintain its application
14. Works closely with Head office and communicate effectively for most update information regarding PR/ Marketing matters
15. Makes sure all productions and design to meet Zelax Eskala standard and present its corporate identity
16. Conducts Public Relations, communication / advertising programs.
17. Establishes media relationship and networking.
18. Is in charge of design/production/articles/press releases/publications.
19. Sources PR/Advertising agencies, printers etc, negotiate price and quotations.
20. Makes sure Newsletter design and production are done in timely manner.
21. Proposes Business Plan yearly for own department and follow through accordingly.
22. Writes performance reviews and solve internal issues. Discusses and lays out project specifications. Makes detailed plans to accomplish goals.

Job Requirements

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years experience in similar capacity in International Hotel
• Must be of Myanmar origin or should have been in the country for a minimum of 5 years in a similar role

Education:

• University degree in Marketing preferred. Can be replaced by adequate experience.

Skills:

• Good command of English Language Skill, Computer Skill, IT Skill
