You propose a merchandising strategy to the Head of Merchandising based on your thorough knowledge of the market and the expectations of customers. You oversee and manage your Division/Department to achieve your KPIs by optimizing the assortments, maximizing the margin mix, leveraging your buying power to get better terms from suppliers, developing new source of revenue/income within your division, improving the Level of Service of your suppliers, reducing the inventory days, developing and motivating your team.
• Based on a deep market expertise, identifies midterm risks and opportunities for the business
• Develops disruptive ideas and innovative concepts to test on consumers, constantly invents or re-invents new trends and creates differentiation
• Develops expertise in market trends, anticipate consumers tastes evolutions
• Constantly identify new opportunities and need gaps to address in store
• Sponsors and champions the development of new categories
• Develops innovative toolkits and solutions to improve space planning and facilitate macro space decisions and execution in store
• Challenges the current Visual Merchandising plan and proposes differentiation and innovation to differentiate and add value
• Invents creative, differentiated, compelling techniques and toolkits to better promote products
• Develop products in alignment with the brand’s values and value proposition and ensures the consistency of the overall brand proposition to consumers
• Drives the new product launch procedure for multiple innovations in parallel and identifies potential areas
• Provides coaching to team members on product, calendar management, to accelerate the time to market and drive successful product activations
• Sets and reviews profit and margin targets for each product category and banner, in line with overall company’s vision and profitability objectives
• Develops profit and margin management initiatives, such as product & range sustainable margin enhancements
• Provides guidelines to negotiate with suppliers to achieve best deals and desired levels of quality
• Initiates supplier development projects to continuously improve the supplier’s portfolio and proactively provides insightful advice and direction to manage suppliers in complex situations
• Develops his/her team
• Build exciting (SMART) bonus KPIs
• Prepares a clear succession plan

Holding a bachelor degree
Minimum 5-8 yr experiences in Merchandising
Some years of experience in the Retail industry are a plus
