They have to oversee that the paychecks are handed or are transferred to every individual's account
They have to make entries for all the transactions and maintain all the books that are given in their care
Payroll accountants also have to do any other accounting duties that are handed to them regarding the company
They have to carefully calculate the salaries of all employees as there could be deductions regarding leaves or additions like incentives; hence, they have to be extra careful while making calculations
They can make suggestions to improve the payroll system
They also have to be careful while making tax deductions else it could affect the reputation of the company
They have to ensure that all industry standards accounting laws are followed
