ROLE PURPOSE
Yoma Bank’s Digital Product team is responsible for developing and managing the bank’s digital financial services. We are committed to developing products and channels to service customers outside of the branch network. Our team operates as a design practice. We start with inspiration about how to make financial services work for customers. We gather information about customers and markets. We iterate through prototype tests with customers until we make the solution work. And then we engineer the solution to scale. Our Enabling Products and Tools are what keep our digital channels running for our customers. They act as the control point for all the digital channels of the bank, ensuring our internal customers (including our branch staff) can deliver the best customer experience possible. The Product Owner of Enabling Products is responsible for developing and maintaining all aspects of the underlying services for our business.
Skills and Qualifications
The right candidate will have experience with a mature range of PO skills, including product vision-setting, project management, and technical skills delivering software product (specifically using Agile software methodologies). It is imperative that the person in this role have a passion for delivering easy to use and thoughtful solutions to internal stakeholders, specifically coming from experience designing and developing internal-facing tools, processes and services.
Responsibilities
You will manage digital product development through the entire product life-cycle, from planning, implementation, and assessment to testing and delivery. You will do this with the support and/or supervision of practice area specialists in service design, UX design, business process analysis, and data analytics. So you will not be alone.
You and your team will be responsible for the following:
A clear vision for the growth of existing Internal products that works for Yoma Bank and the Myanmar market, based on an understanding of both
Management of a robust backlog of features and functionality that deliver continued value for our customers and competency for our business
Articulation of product release plans / roadmaps and corresponding resource needs and allocation in collaboration with colleagues across design, marketing, ops and IT;
Analysing and subsequently redesigning operational processes (both in HQ and branches) to support sustainability of your digital product(s)
Developing detailed design specifications, including user stories, interaction flows, business rules, and screen shots.
Coordinating with the development technical lead to support the development team through all phases of the development cycle
Coordinating and participating in sprint rituals, such as sprint planning and daily scrum meetings, to track development of product features
Ensuring close coordination between business analysts and solutions architects to ensure that designs are aligned with robust and scalable technical solutions
Leading SOP development to support new product or feature implementation.
Overseeing User Acceptance Testing and prioritization of changes required for product launch
Implementing product prototype testing and feedback loops to gather customer response, starting in early stage design and FUT / beta testing cycles and following through into production
Building a robust relationship with current and prospective internal stakeholders for ongoing contribution / engagement in product development
Working closely with our Award Winning training team to ensure that team members across the bank understand how to use our products and are properly trained
Understanding of legal documentation is a plus and so is having experience in writing Standard Operating Procedures.

Knowledge & Skills
Essential
Has a combination of project management and technical skills
A working knowledge of key contemporary product development practices, including UX design, business intelligence, agile software development /scrum.
Experience making product and process decisions guided by user needs and business objectives
Experience developing a business case with comfort using data analytics to support that case
Experience translating user and business objectives into requirements, either independently or in collaboration with BAs.
Passionate about making financial services work for everyday life, using cutting edge technology and design methods.
Excellent competency in computer (MS Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, etc.) and presentation skills
Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and integrity.
Experience in Agile software development and familiarity with industry-typical tools (such as JIRA or Gitlab).
Education & Special Training Essential
Completion of tertiary qualifications in a business or related field such as Bachelor of Business, Management, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics and/or industry specific qualifications.

Experience in managing a complex project in a demanding environment. Simply being smart and energetic enough to learn relevant design and IT skills on the job.
