Job Description

A Fantastic Opportunity for ...

1. Program leadership
• Provide leadership to the program staff to ensure timely implementation of the various programs in line with input from the program managers and in line with program log frames, work plans and budgets.
• Make sure that the combined JD’s of program staff cover program requirements and ensure that individual JD’s are clearly describe responsibilities and fit individual competencies. Ensure that all program staff understand their roles and are accomplishing the tasks they have to do.

Planning:
• Work with the staff and Country Office (CO), to determine program priorities and approaches, in line with program aims and objectives.
• Do need assessments as necessary to ensure that program's aim and objectives are matching with communities' needs.
• Develop activity plans for the program and make sure that activities are focusing on the issues.
• Help staff develop their specific activity plans to address the issues in communities and in line with program objectives.
3.
Supervising:
• Select and hire qualified, competent program staff with input from the APAM and Technicians from program, and Human Resources / Administrative Manager from Country Office especially for senior staff.
• Direct activities of the program and staff to make sure the program is progressing as planned.
Training:
• Oversee the identification and planning to address the training needs of the program communities by the staff so that communities have all necessary skills to address the needs in communities.
• Oversee the identification of training needs and planning to address these training needs by program staff, Technicians and Technical Advisors so that staff have all necessary skills to address the needs in program.
Monitoring:
• Regularly visit to program areas and staff. Encourage staff and communities to have community initiated development activities.
• Ensure APAM and Technicians are providing adequate and detailed supervision of field staff.
• Monitor progress of program activities compared to the plans and make adjustment.
Evaluating:
• Oversee the participatory evaluation process of State program led by Technicians with support from TAs. Make sure that all the beneficiary parties are involving in the process.
Fund Raising and Donor Contact:
• Be a principal donor contact for the program.
• Maintain good relationship with donor(s) by making regular contact and giving regular progress reports on activities and financial expenditure.
Networking and Coordinating:
• Develop and sustain strong relationships with program communities/beneficiaries and local/government officials.
• Be a liaison between CO and staff as necessary: ie: communicate information from staff to the CO, and communicate information from the CO to the staff.
Personal Development
• Review own professional skills on a regular basis in both formal and in-formal ways.
• Develop personal development plan to meet the expectation of the organization and regularly check the progress and prepare a new plan for further development.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor degree or equivalent is preferred. At least three years’ experience in management of integrated community development project is desirable.
• Model behavior that reflects positive Christian values and a holistic, participatory, sustainable approach to development, and
behavior that is sensitive to local conditions and culture and the expectations of local leaders.
• Proven development experience in a leadership role.
• Able to work independently, asking for help when needed.
• Able to do assessment and write proposal and report.
