Job Descriptions for Project Coordinator

Reporting to: General Manager

Leadership, planning, and management
 Create space and delegate responsibilities to the team and recognize the expertise and
experience within the team. Empower all staff to take on their respective responsibilities
and develop in all aspects as much as possible.
 Promote active participation and contribution to project management and administration.
 Promote and maintain team morale and unity. Uphold mission for the project. Make sure
that the team members are complementing each other and the team is functioning well.
 Help staff to develop their specific action plans to address the issues in communities
and in line with program objectives.
 Lead activities of the program and staff to make sure the program is progressing as planned.
 Mentor and encourage the project staff in all aspects of the work. Model professional
and personal abilities and attitudes.
 Develop detailed implementation plans for new grants and oversee all aspects of
implementation.
 Manage monthly approval based on approved POA from each department and send it to
Operation Manager and Country Director.

Training
Oversee the identification and planning to address the training needs of the project
community members and committees by the staff so that communities have all
necessary skills to address the needs of communities.
 Ensure that all the training are adequately followed up and courage by project staff to
take increasing responsibilities for the project activities.

Meeting and Reporting
 Conduct regular weekly and monthly meeting with project staff and reporting project
monthly and quarterly progress report to General Manager.
 Manage Monthly Activities Report, Quarterly Achievement Report and Special fund
report to be quality and in time to General Manager.
 Reports to the General Manager and works collaboratively with her to guide the
organization’s future.
 Facilitate seminars, meetings, special projects, and orientation if needed.

Networking
 Maintains ongoing communications with the communities and other INGOs/NGOs, and
religious organizations.
 Serve as a liaison with local authorities, and regulations and complementary with other
agencies’ efforts.

Financial Management
 Develop and manage CDP budget in cooperation with the GNI Myanmar Head Office,
the annual budget including the operating budget, special fund budget, and programs
budgets.
 Check and manage monthly approval of each department for the effective and efficient
usage of the budget in their activities.
 Check fund request from the finance manager based on monthly approval.
 Maintain Bogalay CDP’s financial management including accounts receivable, accounts
payable, production of statements, and timely filing of reports cooperation with the
Finance Coordinator.
Monitoring and Evaluation and Development
 Coordinate activities of supporting staff, collaborate staff and/or volunteers engaged in
implementation and administration of program objectives.
 Suggest and coordinates the development of promotional materials, newsletters, and/or
brochures, as appropriate to the program.
 Support monthly activities plan together with project staff and monitor progress against the work plan
.
 Regularly visit to project areas and staff. Encourage staff and communities to have community initiated development activities.
 Do need assessments as necessary to ensure that the program’s aim and objectives are matching with communities’ needs.

Job Requirements

Requirements/Qualifications;

• The Project Coordinator at CDP of Good Neighbors International (GNI) Myanmar position requires.
• Degree in management, other majors, or equivalent in community development field and at least 3 years experience working in community development projects.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
• As a strategic thinker able to work successfully on multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Works independently to conduct the day-to-day operations of the organization.
• Should possess strong financial skills in financial management.
• Have experience in managing development processes and project cycle management in support of organizational goals.
• Demonstrated ability to develop financial and narrative reports.
• Able to manage many staff and ability to address conflicts as necessary.
• Able to work under the stressful situation.
• Able to delegate and monitor the work of others and develop their skills. Able to coach and encourage others.
• Able to plan and manage a variety of activities, setting appropriate priorities.
• Able to work independently, asking for help when needed.
• Proven development experience in a leadership role.
Able to stay in Nyaung Tone Township, Ayeyarwaddy Division.
