The role of manager is to lead business research projects of Business Insight Department in the design, Implementation, and analysis of comprehensive business and industrial research projects. The manager is one of the key positions in Business Insight (BI) Department and person in this position will contribute significantly to customized research operations and the management of the Research services by assisting, directing, as well as fulfilling research and team leadership responsibilities. He will be a project manager for BI business research projects
In brief
• Participates in the survey research of both qualitative and quantitative research projects by coordinating, cooperating and understanding the nature of related works
• Performs proficiently as a Research Executive in assisting for developing interview guideline, and structure/ semi-structured questionnaire, conducting training, coordinating between internal/ external teams and providing analysis and interpretation of the findings
• Leads project team in design and analysis process by monitoring and maintaining the surveys' procedures
• Networking with UMFCCI, associations and government departments
General Management
• Implements the top management's policy, development and maintenance of management systems
• Assists Research Director to assign jobs, oversee, manage, review and evaluate staffs performance
• Provides or coordinates training while working together with junior staffs to be a smart, curious and suitably qualified employees
• Prepares work orders (Job Task Forms) for team members and operation team if needed
• Provides leadership and ensures the steady career growth of the team members in your charge
Operational management
• Interprets and develops a questionnaire design and interprets data
• Leads the preparation of table by analyzing and interpreting to be in line with research objectives and clients' required information
• Maintains schedules and prepares required materials for delivery to internal and external clients
• Manages operation teams concerning process of work and discrepancies of job details
• Provides knowledge, skills and abilities in supervision and delivery on research objective to ensure meaningful and value-added findings and coordinates with team members to achieve highest possible efficiency
Management
Project management, HR management, financial management, Trimester reviews of his/her team and develop Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for self and team members
Job Requirements
• A person must have acquired good education background, knowledge and experience on research work.
• Also needs to possess solid understanding of research methodologies and approaches (both qualitative and quantitative) combined with strong research experience with expertise in key research areas.
• He needs to demonstrate the ability to lead and complete all aspects of research process as assigned.
• Apart from experience in research projects, he should have excellent written and spoken English as well as ability to lead report preparation and client presentation
