Job Description

A Good Opportunity for ..

 Provide accurate, relevant and timely product and process quality information in support of decision making through the collection of samples and analysis performed in the physical (and chemical) laboratory.
 Plan, coordinate and promote all quality activities, with focus on meeting consumer requirements and the outcomes expected within the Company plan.
 To lead the development of the local quality strategy, to support and implement the Global strategy.
 To manage a number of projects, work streams and local committees, at local level. To support new and modified products implementation.
 Regularly holds meetings with team members to communicate monthly results, company news & changes, projects and discuss action plans for the next month.
 Identification and coaching of people with potential to grow in the quality function.
 Effectively manage budgets and department’s expenditures and ensure proper assets needs (i.e. CapEx).
 To ensure that the OpCo / EM is fully compliant in all respects with local legislation and BAT standards, best practices and guidelines this includes AMGP compliance.
 To develop and implement: best practices, common platforms, sharing experience/knowledge with other functions and factories within Operations.
 Manage the quality department in line with the Company strategy, to set objectives and targets to direct reports, manage their performance, to ensure plan targets are met and all functional tasks and projects delivered.
 Manage and coordinate infestation procedures and reporting activities.
 Supervise and control the handling of customer/consumer complaints and Non-Conforming Products (NCP).
 Maintains a close relationship with the Product Centre, regarding all relevant aspects of Quality management and Product Maintenance.
 To ensure the new products and processes qualification for new technologies, materials and equipment as per global standards
 To ensure the implementation of product and material innovation in accordance with global programs and strategy right first time

Job Requirements

- Degree level in science applied science or engineering
- Thorough knowledge of tobacco products, tobacco technology and Quality (minimum 2-3 years)
- Broad understanding of Consumer-centric quality management principles and Supply chain
- Broad understanding of PI&T and PM&H
- Working knowledge of SPC, ISO 9000, Six Sigma and CI tools
- Experience in working across multiple functions/projects is preferred
- Strong influencing, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
