Your Mission
As the Quality Manager of Proximity Designs’ manufacturing team, you will oversee the operation of the manufacturing workshop and liaise with other teams within the organization, including but not limited to our sales team and product design team, to maintain the standards of our products. The work you do will ensure the smooth and quality manufacturing of over 20,000 irrigation products each year. If you are an energetic individual with the ability and desire to problem solve, this will be a great opportunity for you to develop leadership skills while making an impact on the lives of thousands of smallholder farmers in Myanmar.

Meet Your Team
Proximity Design’s in-house manufacturing workshop has been producing income-boosting, affordable irrigation products since the organization started in 2004. Having our own manufacturing team enables us to turn our unique designs, many of which rarely seen by the factories and farmers in Myanmar, into reliable products that our customers find effective
in increasing their farming productivity. In recent years, the manufacturing team has continued to grow in both its size and capacity. Through working with international vendors and talented products designers, the team has managed to bring Myanmar farmers more technologically advanced irrigation tools at an affordable price.

What You Will Do
o Oversee the process of products manufacturing and apply measures to ensure their quality
o Improve the reliability of new product development
o Improve user experience by receiving customer complaints, identify measures to resolve the issues and enhance the manufacturing process
o Conduct proper quality control on the products from local and international vendors
o Enforce workshop rules and safety regulations, and organize the workspace for efficiency and effectiveness following the “5S Method”

Is This You?
o You have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in mechanical or electrical engineering, with three to five years of
work experience in quality management.
o You know how to precisely measure tool parts.
o You are capable in reading blue prints and have developed understanding of calibration of instruments.
o You are an effective communicator who’s fluent in both Burmese and English.
