Job Description

A Big Opportunity for ...

Research
Your tasks on our fieldwork for NGO / non-profit / government research projects will include:
- Design questionnaire and interview guides, often dealing with sensitive issues
- Conduct in-depth interviews with a range of people, sometimes on sensitive issues
- Co-moderate simple focus group discussions
- Take detailed notes during fieldwork
- Translate findings
- Choose data from tabulations/content analysis to prepare simple PPT presentation in a skillful and smart way
- Analyse collected data to a more advanced level (e.g.complex content analysis, simple factor and cluster analysis, etc.)

We are particularly interested in candidates with ethnic language skills (e.g. Kachin, Rakhine)

Collaboration
- Coordinate well with different teams on research projects (including quality control, fieldwork assistants, and recruiters)
- Stay well informed about project status and take ownership of the project
- Prepare clear and precise fieldwork briefing documents
- Conduct thorough supervisor and interviewer briefings
- Evaluate fieldwork costs

Service
- Be pleasant and cheerful to colleagues and clients, and respond to requests and tasks quickly
- Keep files and papers well organized
- Follow billings and collections for projects
- Communicate clearly with internal colleagues and external clients

Job Requirements

- 1-2 years experience in research or fieldwork
- 1-2 years experience NGO/nonprofit work
- Bachelor Degree or Master Degree from top university
- Excellent English and Myanmar skills both in written and oral
- Fluency in an ethnic languages preferred
- Good command of MS-Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Take interest in learning
- Take initiative to do more than asked
- Easy-going, out-going, passionate, detail-oriented and positive
