1. To review Reference for Proposal(s) and Terms of Reference, and prepare draft proposals for requests and queries from local and international clients.
2. To attend meetings with clients / prospects as required and to provide support to the department Head and Management for business development and marketing activities.
3. To produce Draft & Final survey materials (including questionnaires, discussion guides show-cards etc.) and translations in a timely manner and ensure that fieldwork procedures (Sampling, Quality Control reports etc.) are carried out as required.
4. To be the liaison point between clients, and MSR’s staff on all aspects relating to the project.
5. To prepare project budget materials and maintain accurate expense records to ensure agreed project targets and budgets are adhered to.
6. To work closely with project staff (Fieldwork and Data processing), sub-contractors and management to plan and organize work for research projects so as to projects results are achieved and schedules met.
7. Conduct project briefings, moderate focus group discussions and conduct In-depth Interviews as required and in accordance with MSR and client specifications.
8. To produce or supervise the translation of focus group discussions, and produce accurate, high quality transcripts and associated materials within agreed schedule.
9. To analyze research results and produce summary, top-line and draft reports and distribute the reports (after Management approval) to the appropriate internal and external recipients within agreed deadlines.
10. To accurately prepare and complete necessary administrative documents within specified timeframes to ensure compliance and efficient management of internal administrative procedures.

1. Suitable degree in Statistics, Social Sciences, Psychology, BA/BS, etc. from an accredited university/college; Master degree is preferred;

2. Some working experience of social research must be advantage;

3. Working knowledge of database and/or statistical analysis software (e.g. SPSS, MS Excel, MS Word, ACCESS);

4. Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods;

5. Strong interest in social research with familiarity with social, economic and political situations in Myanmar;

6. Fluency in both English and Myanmar;

7. Willingness to travel within the country;
