Job Description

A Great Opportunity for ...

Research
Your tasks on our fieldwork for NGO / non-profit / government research projects will include:
- Coordinate large-scale research projects
- Manage a small team of research assistants
- Design questionnaire and interview guides, often dealing with sensitive issues
- Moderate complex focus group discussions with a range of people (e.g. ethnic groups, children)
- Conduct in-depth interviews with a range of individuals -including government officials
- Take detailed notes during fieldwork to yield nuanced findings
- Advanced analysis of collected data
- Assistance in report writing
- Co-present findings to clients

We are particularly interested in applicants with ethnic language skills (e.g. Kachin, Rakhine)

Collaboration
- Coordinate well with different teams on research projects (including quality control, fieldwork assistants, and recruiters)
- Take ownership of projects and accountability to clients
- Prepare clear and precise presentations of findings and analysis
- Conduct thorough research team briefings

Service
- Be pleasant and cheerful to colleagues and clients, and respond to requests and tasks quickly
- Keep files and papers well organized
- Follow billings and collections for projects
- Communicate clearly with internal colleagues and external clients

Job Requirements

- 5 years experience in research or fieldwork
- 5 years experience NGO/nonprofit work
- Bachelor Degree or Master Degree from top university
- Excellent English and Myanmar skills both in written and oral
- Good command of MS-Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Take interest in learning
- Take initiative to do more than asked
- Easy-going, outgoing, passionate, detail-oriented and positive
