Position : Resettlement/ Social Development Specialist
Person-Months : 24, intermittent

The project’s objective is to bring more efficient and safer movement of goods and people along the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) East-West Economic Corridor (and also North-South Economic Corridor) in Myanmar. Department of Highways (DOH) will implement the proposed project through its Project Management Unit (PMU). The executing agency (EA) is the Ministry of Construction (MOC) of the government. The project will be implemented over a 7-year period, from 2019 to 2025. The project has three key outputs:
(i) Output 1: GMS highways improved;
(ii) Output 2: Yangon-Mandalay expressway safety improved
(iii) Output 3: Detailed design for other highway projects

Job Requirements

With BA or equivalent in social development or related field, preferably 10 years’ relevant experience, to work with and be trained by the international resettlement/social development specialist in resettlement management, implementation of social safeguards, complaints resolution, gender and all other aspects of the international specialist’s scope of work.
