Job Title: Finance Risk Specialist
Yoma Fleet is seeking a Finance Risk Specialist to fill a full-time position in The Campus office.
As a Finance Risk Specialist, you will be comfortable working in a fast moving and changing environment, you must be success driven and seek continual improvement. In return, you will be given the opportunity to take ownership and accountability for your workload, and will be making an impact in growing Myanmar’s leasing industry.
Section: Vehicle Leasing / Risk Management
Reports to: Head of Risk

Duties & Responsibilities:
As a Risk Specialist you will be responsible for assessing credit applications for vehicle finance leases from Consumer and Commercial customers using well-reasoned credit rationale. You will also be responsible for maintaining strong rapport and relationships with all key internal and external stakeholders, as well as completing tasks within agreed SLA timeframes.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Processing and analysis of lease applications within expected turnaround times, generally 48 hours
• Verifying the information provided in a lease application
• Writing up lease submission notes based on your assessment of the application
• Ensuring all lease applications are in compliance with the company’s internal leasing policy
• Deliver high quality lending recommendations based on your assessment within expected turnaround times
• Building relationships and delivering outstanding customer service to the company’s auto-dealer network, internal sales team and brand partners
• Providing recommendations on the continual development of the company’s leasing policy based on customer trends and market expectations
• Assisting with regulatory audit requirements
• Completing annual reviews and interim requests
• Provide coaching and feedback to frontline sales staff, both external and internal
• Promote a focus on customer centricity

Job Requirements

Skills & Experience:
You are a detail oriented professional capable of communicating clearly in both English and Burmese, and you will need to know how to manage relationships and make commercially sound credit decisions.
To be considered for this role, you will need to possess the following:
• Outstanding communication skills to explain the outcome of credit decisions
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with loan / hire purchase applications
• Experience working in the banking or finance industry
• Understanding of lending compliance issues
• High attention to detail: accurate processing and document collection for all lease applications
• Excellent time management skills and being able to prioritize urgent tasks
• Maintain customer confidentiality at all times
• Good command of computer skills (Microsoft Office)
• Education: A background in accounting / banking / finance is preferred
