Job Description

A Good Opportunity for ..

General Purpose of the Position To support Centre Managers on creating and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by implementing and monitoring HSE systems
and processes.
This includes managing HSE administrative processes, conducting training and effectively using a range of HSE tools and processes to
implement HSE programs and drive compliance to meet both local and international HSE requirements.
To contribute to the implementation and monitoring of critical controls and protection of assets

Main Accountabilities
1. Policy and Risk Management
• Establish HSE Policy and Advise on HSE Legal Compliance Issues and Good Practices
• Identify HSE Hazards and Assess HSE Risks using appropriate methodologies (e.g. FTA, FMEA, bowtie, etc.)
• Recommend HSE Control Measures
• Manage HSE Risk
• Develop a HSE Management System
2. Implement Operational Controls
• Establish and maintain a Risk Management Programme
• Coordinate HSE Management System with Legal Compliance
• Design and Implement Behavioral Safety Programme
• Establish and review emergency preparedness and response plan
• Establish and maintain a Document Management System that complies with corporate document control policies
3. Maintain and Monitor
• Establish Measurement and Monitoring of HSE Performance and Indicators as per corporate guidelines
• Establish and manage Incident Investigation and Analysis Processes
• Manage Internal HSE Audit System and conduct HSE Management System Audit
4. Communicate and Advise
• Interacts with and influences operational, supervisory and line and middle management and consultative groups across a designated area
• Builds relationships as a basis for influence, mentors supervisors and workers with a focus on empowerment of others rather than control
• Prepare and Facilitate Classroom Training
5. Adherence to Shwe Taung Work Policies
• Ensure adherence and compliance to the Shwe Taung Group Code of Conduct
• Ensure safe and respectful workplaces – a focus on health and safety in the workplace; and treating all colleagues with mutual respect, fairness and dignity.

Job Requirements

Education / Qualifications - Degree in technical discipline e.g. engineering (E)
- Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Facility Management or equivalent disciplines (D)

Knowledge - Demonstrates broad technical and theoretical OHS knowledge (including management systems, life and fire safety, food safety) with depth in some areas. (E)
- Demonstrates comprehensive and integrated OHS technical knowledge underpinned by a theoretical understanding with depth in some areas. (D)
- Possess knowledge of IFC EHS Guidelines and related requirements. (D)

Experience - 4 years of cumulative HSE work experience (E)
- 2 years of relevant HSE experience in a facility environment
- Implemented management system certified to ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001(E)
- Work experience in security functions (D)
- Work experience in food and beverage operations (D)
- Work experience as appointed Fire Safety Manager (D)

Skills and personal qualities - Proficient in computer word processing and formatting (Microsoft Word or Google Docs) (E)
- Proficient with spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets) formulas, charts and graph (E)
- Familiar with use of HSE software solutions e.g. Cintellate (D)
- Business level in speaking and writing English (E)
- Demonstrates broad technical and theoretical OHS knowledge (including management systems, life and fire safety, food safety) with
depth in some areas. (E)
- Applies cognitive and communication skills to identify, analyze, synthesize and act on information from a range of workplace sources. (E)
- Able to take advice and input from others as part of collecting and analyzing information. (E)
- Applies a methodical approach to provide technical solutions of a routine or contingency nature to a defined range of predictable
problems in known environments (E)
- Use communication and training skills to transfer HSE knowledge and skills to others. (E)
- Prepare reports on HSE performance and trends using appropriate writing style, grammar and data displays. (E)
