Job Description

A Good Opportunity for ..

The purpose of the Sales & Marketing Manager position is to develop and implement strategic
marketing plans, sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for the sale of products
and services.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales Function
• Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly;
• Manages the receipt, handling, and escalation of all sales enquiries:
o Receives and coordinate all sales enquiries in line with the company’s sales process;
o Monitors the status of all live enquiries to ensure all enquirer actions are completed in a timely professional manner and escalated to the MD when required;
o Ensures that all quotes and associated files are linked to an enquiry;
o Follows up sales activities with clients & potential clients;
o Chases and analyses the reasons for failure to turn an enquiry into a new order;
o Monitors company sales KPIs and sales performance;
• Administers the preparation and management of quotes:
o Checks all potential new clients prior to completion of a quote;
o Captures all necessary information for quotes and manage the dispatch of quotes to agreed timescales;
o Chases outstanding quotes to agreed timescales;
• Actively chases new leads as required; this implies identifying potential clients (individual or companies) and chasing appointments with the objective to present the company and its products, and translate the meeting into actual sale
• Identifies and meets with key clients and potential clients, maintaining relationships, negotiating and closing deals;
• Holds responsibilities for obtaining profitable results by developing the sales team through motivation, coaching, skills development and product knowledge development:
• Holds responsibility for the planning, recruitment, direction, organisation and control of sales team to accomplish specific objectives;
• Helps to implement processes, procedures and tools to maximize productivity and performance of the sales and marketing functions and to facilitate integration with other departments such as Finance, Project Management, Property Management, Design Team, etc;
• Procures and manages external sales & marketing agencies as required;
• Reviews and provides input into sales documentation and agreements;
• Analyzes and evaluates the effectiveness of sales methods, costs, and results;
• Actively collaborates with the accounting department to issue invoices and collect / chase corresponding payments.


Marketing Function
• Creates and implements a Marketing and PR strategy:
o Creates a marketing and PR strategy for the company to be approved by the directors;
o Creates a marketing and PR plan to be approved by the directors for the company based on a rolling 12 month period based on the approved strategy;
o Updates the marketing and PR plan on a quarterly basis;
o Identifies potential areas for marketing opportunities locally and nationally;
o Identifies areas for PR opportunities locally and nationally;
o Creates and implement a marketing and PR strategy and plan for specific areas of business as and when launched;
• Coordinates market information:
o Coordinates acquisition of market and client news in order to produce sales leads;
o Produces and maintains a database (ERP) including all enquiries, clients, potential clients;
o Researches and reports on external opportunities;
o Understands current and potential customers;
o Manages the customer journey (customer relationship management);
o Conducts Market Research to develop an understanding of the competition, opportunities and customers; gives advice to the business director and managing director based on these findings;
• Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions;
• Produces appropriate marketing materials as required:
o Produces and organises the company’s marketing materials eg leaflets, banners, flyers, brochures, etc;
o Maintains and manages the development of the company’s various websites;
o Produces and organises the company’s PR collateral eg press releases, articles, podcasts, blog, responses to questions on linked in groups, etc;
o Manages and develops appropriate forms of social media including (but not limited to) Twitter, Linked In, Facebook, as appropriate;
• Ensures effective control of marketing results, and takes corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated budgets;
• Organises and implements all other marketing and PR activities as briefed;
• Help to Establish and maintain appropriate budgets for sales and marketing campaigns, exhibitions and initiatives;
• Prepares marketing activity reports and presents to executive management;
• Translates as requested;
• Participates in the continual improvement of the company’s Quality and Environmental systems;
• Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events;
• Supervise the planning and development of company marketing and communications materials;
• Develops and manages sales / marketing operating budgets. Analyses and controls expenditures of the Business Unit to conform to budgetary requirements;
• Develops and recommends product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share;
• Achieves satisfactory profit/loss ratio;
• Monitors competitor products, sales and marketing activities;
• Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners;
• Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product.

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor or Master Degree related to Business Studies, Marketing and Communications;
• Solid work experience in similar sales & marketing functions (7+ years);
• Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information;
• Language: English (fluent); other languages an asset;
• Computer Skills: High Level (office suite, photoshop, illustrator), including internet (emails, social networks)
• Interpersonal skills: dynamic, curious, enthusiast
• Presentation & Communication Skills: Outstanding
