Job Description

An Excellent Opportunity for ...

Reporting to the FLEGT Secretariat Manager, the Assistant Manager will:
a. Ensure office supplies, equipment and facilities are sufficient to enable the efficient functioning of the Secretariat;
b. Develop and maintain office systems and procedures (e.g., document and record filing, health and safety, security, time sheets, equipment inventories);
c. Prepare and disseminate meeting agendas;
d. Arrange travel and accommodation logistics for participants in workshops, meetings and field trips;
e. Take minutes of meetings and prepare and disseminate meeting reports to participants (in Myanmar with English summaries and must be proficient in using Myanmar Unicode typing);
f. Assist stakeholders with administrative and logistic tasks related to their events, such as consultations, workshops, etc.;
g. Manage correspondence concerning the grant award system, including communications with the ITF Grant Committee, Palladium, and grant applicants and awardees;
h. Prepare simple translations from Myanmar to English and vice-versa; and
i. Perform any other tasks assigned.

Job Requirements

The Assistant Manager will have:

a. At least a bachelor degree in business, commerce or equivalent;
b. At least 2 years’ experience working in an administrative or senior secretarial role, in an organisation engaged in international activities (e.g. donor, international company, international NGO);
c. Fluency in written and spoken English and Myanmar languages;
d. Ability to use business software (Internet, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation)
e. Electronic file management;
f. Good interpersonal and networking skills;
