Founded in late 2015, OneKyat is a local digital startup based in Yangon, and is now the largest online marketplace for selling and buying in Myanmar with more than half a million downloads. We are have a small tight-knit team, and have a flat hierarchy. OneKyat is owned by 701Search (with offices in Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore), which is in turn owned by the Telenor Group, one of the world’s major telecommunication operators. You are a mobile developer with experience in android apps and should have at least 3-year hands-on working experience in native Android development. Your primary focus will be the development of the Android application and their integration with back-end services.

Responsibilities
• Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code
• Design, build and maintain high performance, reusable and reliable native android code
• Help maintain code quality
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android and how to deal with different screen sizes
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
• Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns and best practices
• Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines
• Experience with modern software engineering practices and paradigms - we want you to develop beautiful code which is easy to understand and maintain.
• Experienced with offline storage, threading and performance tuning
• Experienced in code versioning tools and release systems such as Git.
• Experienced in working with Android Studio/Gradle
• Experienced in working with JSON/XML data

• Basic Diploma and/or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• You understand how applications interact with the systems, are resourceful and have the know-how to work independently within a development team.
• Must be conversant in both Burmese and English (both written and spoken)
