Job Description

This role is within the Professional Services organizations and the key responsibility is to capture the technical requirements of the Clients, translate technical and Business requirements as configurations and customizations in the application, install the systems and complete the configurations, develop the change requests, Deploy the patches and fixes in the system, support the client in System integration testing, liaise with internal Big Byte and partner's stakeholders for getting the resolutions to the project issues and assist the Client to Go Live with the solutions. Senior Java Developer/ Senior Technical Consultant reports into the Development Lead.

Key Performance Indicators
• Achieve the target Billable utilization which has been agreed for the current financial year
• Create reusable components as per the goals set for the financial year
• Attend the training programs when nominated by planning the assigned activities
• Ensure the submission of time sheets, expenses reports and schedule leave requests as per the norms
• Update the recording system periodically with the newly acquired skills

Job Requirements

• Define the environment and infrastructure for installation
• Install the systems in the environments provided by the Client
• Configure the system with the standard parameters as per the internal guides
• Effect the changes in the configurations/parameters as per the Client’s requirements
• Conduct the technical workshops for the Client
• Document the technical configurations and requirements in the standard templates. File the document to Knowledge Base.
• Provide the technical solutions for the change requests
• Assist the Business consultants in arriving the estimates
• Develop the change requests and deploy them in the Build
• Support the System Integration and User Acceptance Testing
• Analyze the issues raised by the client and provide solutions wherever feasible
• Raise issues in Salesforce (SFDC) and triage with the CS and Development teams
• Apply Service Packs, Patches and hot fixes to the system
• Develop Data migration scripts/tool and execute the processes – defined in the statement of work
• Create Go Live check-list and assist the Client in the preparation of Production environment
• Perform the Go Live activities and provide the post Go Live support
• Assist the Sales and Global Support and Consulting (GSC) teams during Sales cycle for new opportunities when required and book time accordingly on pre-sales engagements.
• Provide inputs for the Statement of Work preparation to Practice Lead
• Appraise the Project Manager and AVP on the activities status periodically
• Maintain cordial relationship with the Clients and Big Byte internal teams
• Monitor the self-utilization and take proactive steps for improving the Utilization percentage whenever it is below the accepted target
• Work with PLs and resource manager when there are gaps in schedules either by:
o Self-training
o Assist consultants on tasks
• Understand customer technological practices and technical pain points
• Formulate recommendations and solutions based on customer’s technical/technology related pain points and IT team capabilities
• Train other consultants or partners
• Write Site Visit Report based on defined TTOR
• Define/Participate in defining the Project Scope especially from technical perspective and ensure avoidance of Scope creep
• Influence/Direct the client for adopting Out of Box functionality/features
• Capture Technical requirements clearly in Business Specification and Design Document (BSDD) without any ambiguities
• Articulate/Highlight the Solution benefits to the client for bringing out the value proposition
• Create IPs as agreed with Practice leads and popularize them for reuse among Consultants community
• Adhere to TOR delivery schedule with the required quality outputs
