RESPONSIBILITIES
PRIMARY
• By serving as the department leader of the Strategic Planning Department, provide leadership from the front, through thought leadership and strategic direction to all of the company's Advertising Company client accounts, supported by consumer, market and business insight
• Steward brand and Integrated communications planning, media/campaign planning, and other analytics as individual services with the goal of becoming a holistic service
• Develop strategic methodologies, marketing expertise, and analytics intelligence for the group, converting these into revenue-generating deliverables:
o Systematize qualitative/ethnographic insighting as both a value-added deliverable contributing to the revenue stream of the Advertising Company
o Develop an integrated framework integrating the company Advertising Company digital planning as standard BAU framework
o Design, Lead, and Deliver Branding, Brandstorming, Insighting and Ideation workshops as deliverable to Client
SECONDARY
• Bring an entrepreneurial vision and organization to multiple clients, projects, and deadlines
• Drive internal education of strategic practice development, including the areas of planning, marketing, and analytics
• Identify opportunities to develop specialization in digital trends, tactics and technologies via training, partnership or acquisition
• Develop relationships with network, when finalized, for new business opportunities, knowledge sharing, and resource management
• Manage a team of two or three planners, and seasonal interns
Job Requirements
• A natural flair for storytelling and writing
• A combination of at least 3 years in market research or media planning, and 4 years in strategic planning (traditional and/or digital) in a marketing environment
• Experience in Telecommunications and FMCG
• Comprehensive knowledge in business and strategic impacts of the use of various media channels
• Experience in managing integrated marketing campaigns, with an understanding of how digital can build off of other media touchpoints
• Some client service experience in managing expectations and seeking opportunities for business growth
• Engaging public speaking skills to drive industry thought leadership, new business development, or educational workshops
• Proficiency in full Microsoft Office Tools
