We are looking for a talented Senior Video Editor who can shoot raw video and edit the material to assemble recorded footage into a finished project that matches the director’s vision and is suitable for broadcasting.

Job Purpose:
Creates world-class video content for JobNet

Measures of performance:
• 100% achievement of agreed quality, creativity and deadlines
• 100% brand compliance
• No breaches of copyright protocol

Key Responsibilities:
1. Research:
• Keeps abreast of the latest audio and visual capturing and editing techniques, trends and associated equipment

2. Planning
• Interprets creative briefs by the VPM and JobNet campaign leaders to advise, and agree on outcomes
• Monitors status of JobNet A/V equipment and advises on maintenance and upgrades
• Maintains the video footage and music library and adherence to copyright

3. Producing
• Creates a compelling video that meets the brief, is on brand, and conveys the stakeholder’s intended message by the agreed deadline

4. Reporting
• Track and report on progress and effectiveness of activities weekly

Job Requirements

Preferred Skills
• Proven work experience as a video editor
• Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
• Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity
• Solid attention to detail
• Creative mind and storytelling skills
• Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut)
