Job Description

Maintaining an accurate and complete database server, app server and web server and

support internal and external users

Maintain accurate and complete database, app and web servers

Install revised or new systems by proposing specifications and flowcharts; recommending optimum access techniques; coordinating installation requirements

Manage planned and unplanned outages of the system in accordance with service level agreement

Maintain database performance by calculating optimum values for database parameters, implementing new releases, completing maintenance requirements, evaluating computer operating systems and hardware products

Prepare users by conducting training, providing information and resolving problems

Provide information by answering questions and requests for data structures & models

Support database functions by designing and coding utilities

Oracle database backup and recovery

Performance and tuning of sql quires and Propose or recommend suggestions

Job Requirements

Degree in computer science

Min 3 years of experience in Oracle Database servers

2 - 3 years of Oracle/MS SQL database experience.

Skills in the following: Database Performance Tuning, Database Security, Promoting Process Improvement, Presenting Technical Information, Database Management, Data Maintenance, Operating

Systems and Information Security Policies

SQL and linux competencies

Ability to plan and organise
