1. To check medical gas, medications, instruments and linens needed before procedure.
2. Identify patient and provide emotional support to the patient.
3. Assess vital signs and assist anaesthetist prior to procedure.
4. To ensure strict aseptic measures of gloving, gowning and drapping to be implemented all the time.
5. Prepare instrument trolleys, sutures and sponges needed for operation.
6. To assist and anticipate the surgical team.
7. To check and record SWABS, NEEDLES, INSTRUMENTS with circulating nurse.
8. To apply used items code in chart sheet.
9. To document all procedures and information in respective nursing note and sign.
