Job Description

A Great Opportunity for ...

The Sustainable Banking Officer will support the overall implementation of the Sustainable Finance project that aims to integrate environmental risk management in the financial system and develop an innovative financing solution for landscape financing.
Major Responsibilities: The key responsibilities of the project officer include, but are not limited to,
1. Technical Support: Build technical understanding on sustainable banking and finance and provide technical inputs
2. Stakeholder engagement: Build solid relations with financial institutions. Project officer will be the main point of contact for private sector and ministries to communicate with the project team
3. Coordination with technical team: Create a group of technical experts from various financial institutions and coordinate the training.
4. Translation: The officer would be expected to support the translation between Myanmar and English
5. Administration: Support in preparation and translation of contracts, request letters to government, reports and briefs. Lead on the logistics requirements of training, meetings, travel and other relevant events.
6. Communication: Work with the communication team to ensure timely development and distribution of communication material

Job Requirements

Requirements
Education and Experience
• Bachelor and/or Master degree in business, economics, finance or related field
• 2+ years of work experience in finance, sustainable finance or consulting in Myanmar
• A good understanding of how Myanmar financial system operate both at regulatory level as well as individual financial institution level
• Strong interest in environment and biodiversity conservation
• Experience in meeting facilitation, report writing and/or training delivery
• Ability to interact with senior officials in private sector and government
• Must be fluent in English and Myanmar language (written and spoken)
