Major Function
The Sustainable Business officer is part of the wider water team in WWF Myanmar. She/he will be responsible for supporting the development of innovative solutions to sustainability in the private sector especially to EU funded “Tha Ba Wa Project” around issues and areas that promote and achieve WWF conservation objectives.

Major Responsibilities
- Civil Society Engagement: Engage with local civil societies (CSOs) to identify the capacity needs and develop and
implement various training program.
- Public Sector Engagement: Lead the existing collobouration with key Government stakeholders espicially with
MoNREC, ECD and MoI. Coordinate with the working groups formulated under Government departments.
- Private sector engagement: Support or, when required, lead engagement with private companies,
federations/chambers and commodity associations especially Myanmar Food, Processor and Exporter Association
(MFPEA) and consultants.
- Tools & reports: Develop briefs, tools and reports that could be used by various stakeholders to understand and
strategize various sustainability solutions.
- Stakeholder engagement: Regularly interact with external stakeholders, including government, private sector, CSOs
and NGOs, and develop and present value proposition and influence stakeholders to be more sustainable.
- Others: Support the organization of meetings, events, document translation and training.

Job Requirements

Requirements

- At least bachelor degree in electrical/ energy engineering, economics, business, public policy or a
related area. Master degree in the relivant decipline will be addaded advantage.
- Good exposure and understanding in maintaining relationships woth Government Ministries and
departments.
- Minimum of 2+ years of work experience in sustainability, energy, supply chain, consulting or
manufacturing sector. Work experience with International/ NGO in the similar field will be an added
value.
- Experience in meeting facilitation, report writing and/or training delivery
- Must be fluent in English and Myanmar language (written and spoken)
