Major Function
The Sustainable Finance Officer will support the overall implementation of the Sustainable Finance project that aims to integrate environmental risk management in the financial system and develop innovative sustainable financing solutions. The job holder will assist the Head of Sustainable Finance in managing sustainable finance work in Myanmar.

Major Responsibilities
• Assist Head of Sustainable Finance in running sustainable banking project and partnerships with the finance sector and other stakeholders in Myanmar so as to promote and leverage WWF’s commodity finance interests.
• Assist Head of Sustainable Finance in managing research on sustainable finance related topics, working with banks and investors in developing responsible lending and investing policies as well as developing proposals.
• Administration work, including but not limited to preparation and translation of contracts, request letters to government, reports and briefs. Lead on the logistics requirements of trainings, meetings, travel.
• Work with the communication team to ensure timely development and distribution of communication material.
• Support the translation between Myanmar and English in meetings.
• Keep abreast of trends and developments relevant to sustainability and finance.

Job Requirements

Requirements
o Relevant educational qualifications such as finance, economics, environmental management, agriculture or forestry
o Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in the area of finance, consulting or sustainability, international work experience is a plus
o Good understanding of how environmental concerns relate to material business risks and opportunities
o General knowledge of the finance sector in Myanmar
o Experience in meeting facilitation, report writing and training delivery
o Ability to interact with senior officials in private sector and government
o Must be fluent in English and Myanmar language (written and spoken)
o Excellent communication and computer skills
