The main purpose of the role is to maintain the functionality of the cold store, cool stores refrigeration plant, associated equipment and ambient storage area thereby adding support to the smooth functioning of warehouse operations.
Responsibilities:
• To perform preventive maintenance of refrigeration plant to maximize the reliability of the operation & minimize breakdowns and disruption to the cold store operation.
• To regularly check equipment and chambers and overview logging of important system functions for effective maintenance.
• To diagnose faults and repair broken down and damaged equipment to avoid wastage in time, cost and resources.
• To ensure equipment is running efficiently and the required operating conditions are maintained in the cold store chambers for operational requirement.
• To keep plant and structure in good condition for prolonged service life to meet operational demands.
• To carry out maintenance, repairs and monitoring duties on Cool store facilities and cold store block air-conditioning systems for smooth flow of technical operations.
• To assist in ISO certification, ensure quality control process and high safety standards.
• To keep and monitor spares, consumables and records.
• To perform any other works assigned from time to time by management

Requirements:
• Diploma/Degree in electrical, electronic, mechanical, mechatronic engineering or equivalent
• At least 2 years of working experience in a technical field of maintaining refrigeration plant, cold store equipment and facilities and forklifts etc.
• Strong technical knowledge and ideally with understanding of mechanical, electrical and generator
• Experience in the cold room industry is an advantage.
• A keen learner who has a positive working attitude and able to work in a safe and efficient manner.
• Proficient with using computer.
• Be able to work shift work at Mingalardone Industrial Area.
