ROLE PURPOSE

To manage daily operation of Trade Finance (Import, Export and Guarantee) in accordance with the Bank SOP and other Trade related international banking standards.


RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the centralized trade finance operations activities such as Import/Export transactions and Guarantees.
• Implement objectives, policies and procedures manual and user manuals for trade finance operations
• Review requirements of business units in terms of operational support and discuss in detail with concerned business units.
• This role requires both technical and process knowhow knowledge of complex practices and procedures.
• Ensure the processes are smoothly and error-freely transacted in Trade Innovative (TI) System.
• Execute transactions within pre-set standardized turnaround times for all trade finance activities and service level agreements with business and all other concerned units.
• Review department delivery processes with a view to ensure smooth workflow within the department, reduce turnaround times and achieve efficiency and cost benefits.
• Ensure that all transaction processing is in compliance with regulatory and Bank’s policies, procedures and standards with prompt intervention to resolve problems/ concern areas.
• Manage maintenance of transaction records, documents and create archival system for easy retrieval.
• Ensure proper check and balance approach for trade finance processes.
• Manage Audit control reconciliation control Ops risk reporting and other control mechanisms within the team.
• Monitor customer trade transactions, settlements and report any exceptions to concerned units.
• In consultation with senior management, influence the development of key new products service initiative in order to identify product gaps or new service opportunities and anticipate client needs.
• Prepare regular reports and analysis for senior management for effective monitoring and control.

Education & Special Training

Essential
• Bachelor of Business, Management, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics and/or industry specific qualifications
• Basic competency in computer (MS Office – Excel, Word) and E-mail
• Trade related trainings will be a plus
Desirable
• MBA/MBF, CDCS/CITF

Experience

Essential
• At least Three (3) years of related Trade management experience within a retail bank with progressive management experience.
Desirable
• Experience in the Banking sector is a plus

Languages

Essential
• Sound and effective interpersonal & communication skills in both Myanmar and English languages.
