Job Description

An Excellent Opportunity for ...

ROLE PURPOSE
The Digital Retail Division is responsible for developing Yoma Bank’s mass market retail financial services business. In its early phase, the Division is focusing on developing products and channels to service lower to mid income customers outside of the branch network.
The Division operates as a design practice. We start with inspiration about how to make financial services work for mass market customers. We gather information about customers and markets. We iterate through prototype tests with customers until we make the solution work. And then we engineer the solution to scale. We build customer value like this using apps, web interfaces, good old fashion financial product designs, data analytics and automated credit scoring, digital coaching and chat bots, and cash merchant networks.
The UAT Lead will work closely with Business Analysts, Project Leads, UX designers and developers to ensure the implementation of software and service solutions are of high quality and meet business and customer requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES
You will function as both a practitioner and a leader, building a practice around UAT and participating in other key activities relating to customer experience and product quality. You will work under the direction of the Head of Service design, and alongside a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a suite of digital and service product design development projects. On specific products and projects, you will work closely with Product Owners and Managers, Business Analysts, Solutions Architects and UX Designers to understand requirements and develop appropriate test plans. You should have exceptional QA/UAT skills, a maniacal attention to detail, and a demonstrable ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization
Specifically, you will be responsible for:
• Managing the user acceptance testing process to ensure the business receives working software that supports the business requirements according to both broader project scope and detailed requirements.
• Identifying and writing test scenarios, test cases and scripts as needed
• Managing and executing detailed test plans to verify software functionality and adherence to business requirements
• Ensuring the existence of development and test environment standards
• Using process knowledge, user stories, and functional expertise to ensure quality checkpoints are established
• Test project status reporting, defect tracking and risk assessments
• Establishing a deep understanding of Yoma Bank IT systems and operational processes to ensure testing considers existing operational and technical designs
• Ensuring products meet functional and non-functional requirements, and that they perform in a way that is both technically and functionally sound
• Supporting release deploys and production issues to ensure customer satisfaction and success
• Developing and maintaining key UAT documentation to ensure the proper amount of structure is applied to enable project success (ie UAT Kickoff, UAT Planning, etc)
• Being a reliable, friendly, and non-judgemental source of early feedback on new functionality and feature changes
• Using industry trends, standard methodologies, and leading-edge technology and process improvement on UATs
• Helping build a Quality and Customer Excellence team within the Digital Division.
• Both operating independently as a single tester and providing leadership and direction to a team where appropriate
• Becoming the voice of Quality for the product you work on
