Key Relationships:
 Internal – Depot Manager, Operations Administrator, Training Supervisor, Refueling Supervisor, Refueller, Yard Assistant, HSE Coordinator, Technician, Internal Staff.
 External – Customers, Bridger Driver, Auditor

Function:

Provide all operational support to the fuel depot by becoming focal point of communication and information to all internal and external customers.
Ensure processes are executed following appropriate control standards and complying with all company policies.

• Conduct task observations on yard staff.
• Conduct general fuel sampling of storage tanks,filters and other sampling points operations and administration duties on a daily basis.
• Direct yard assistant to which tanks is receiving,settling and on stream.
• Make sure that all discharge bridgers takes place on time without any delay.
• Make sure that storage tanks is dipped before and after receiving for stock purposes.
• Coordinate with fuel depot management.
• Constantly checking on filters pressure differentials and record on documents.
• Constantly checking on meter recordings.
• Make sure that all sampling and discharge records is up to date daily.

1. OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT:
Controlling and recording all stock movement in and out of the fuel depot..Control the daily tank movements.activity related to deliveries and discharge in the storage tanks.Conduct and ensure information data and documentation are recorded and distributed following appropriate controls standards and complying with all company policies.

• Carry out duties of delivery and discharge plans for storage tanks movements.
• Daily & frequent liaison with depot management.
• Zero fuel spills
• Daily tank stock reconciliations – both, inwards and outwards.
• Storage tanks dipping
• Make sure that the depot is clean of any debris.
• Prepare, check and reconcile daily fuel receivings inventory.
• Execute a proper shift handover process.
• Provide support and assistance to refuellers when necessary.
• Direct yard assistants to do the ”right thing”

2. PRODUCT QUALITY:
Make sure that fuel received and dispensed is on spec

• Attend and participate in the Operational Department meetings.
• Make sure tat tank on stream fuel is on specification.
• Filtration performance
• Make sure that the correct batch number is used on the fuel delivery receipt
• Make sure that tank on stream documentation have fool-proof trace-ability
• Take millipore samples and record monthly and 6 monthly.
• Record and monitor filters pressure differentials
• Assist with other fuel testing such as hose testings,and pressure control tests.
• Assist with monthly fire drills.
• Constantly checking on fuelling pressures on vehicle gauges

3. SUPPORT:

At the direction of the depot manager or his deputy the Depot yard supervisor will carry out such tasks as are necessary in the day to day running of the facility / operation:

• Miscellaneous tasks within the depot
• Cleaning of fixed and mobile equipment
• General housekeeping
• Other tasks assigned by management
• Engage in customer queries.
• Filling in by sampling fuel during emergencies.
• Engage in airport management queries when necessary

4. STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES:
The depot yard shift supervisor shall make sure that all depot personnel adhere to standard operating procedures.
• Reversing of refueling vehicles
• Fuel trace-ability of the fuel
• Discharging fuel during thunderstorms.
• Bridger sampling before,discharge into storage tanks.
• Asssist with customers own bridger loadings.
• Task observation sheets


5. HEALTH SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT

The depot yard supervisor shall comply with PUMA general safety rules:

• Employee shall wear Protective Equipment at all times when performing a task.
• Employee shall be safety minded at all times
• Employee shall take responsibility for his own safety and that of his fellow employees.
• Reporting of unsafe practices and working conditions.
• Reporting on using of unsafe equipment
• Employee shall adhere to the Drug and Alcohol policy at all times
• Employee shall adhere to the cell phone policy at all times.
Participate in incident investigations.


6. DOCUMENTATION

The depot yard shift supervisor shall be responsible for making sure that the filling in of documents is completed on his shift.
• Delivery of fuel from terminal to airport
• Quality control records
• Meter movement Reports
• Depot safety checks
• Unsafe practices reporting
• Defects reporting
• Observing and complete at least one “task observation sheet” per employee per week.
