On behalf of our client, a leading trading company for medical products, we are looking for an Accountant to be based at their offices in Yangon, Myanmar.
 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs full set of accounts and ensures timely closing of accounts.
  • Ensures accounts are aligned in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Ensures all financial and statutory reporting timelines are met
  • Manages day-to-day financial with the cashier
  • Manages and arranges the plan to do fixed assets count and ground stock taking.
  • Liaises with internal and external auditor on all audit matters such as audit enquiries and issues.
  • Maintains financial records by analyzing balance sheets and general ledger accounts.
  • Reconciles general and subsidiary bank accounts by gathering and balancing information.
  • Provides financial status information by preparing reports.
  • Maintains general ledger accounts by reconciling accounts receivable detail and control accounts; adjusting entries for amortizations prepaids; analyzing and reconciling retainage and accounts payable ledgers; preparing fixed asset depreciation and accruals.
  • Secures financial information by completing database backups, keeping information confidential.
  • Maintains accounting controls by following policies and procedures, complying with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements

  • University degree in Accounting or Business Administration (major in accounting).
  • Possesses minimum ACCA Level 1
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting/finance function
  • Positive attitude, proactive, multi-tasking, hands on experience and meticulous
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • Sound and updated understanding of accounting principles (IFRS) and local statutory requirements.
