Job Description

  • Sourcing of materials, plant, equipment and services and managing vendors including negotiating pricing contracts with each material supplier (especially for Construction materials)
  • Ensure that all materials are in compliance with specifications and meet with standards
  • Research and identification of new materials & suppliers for design and cost savings and develop and implement purchasing strategies to deliver ongoing cost reductions and process simplification
  • Ensure adequate resources for all projects and to continually improve pricing and quality of supply and delivery times
  • Develops and implements strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing goods or services and maintaining stock levels
  • Forecast upcoming demand, monitor pricing trends and advise and report to the management team as appropriate
  • Maintain procurement files and purchase agreements to an auditable standard
  • Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
  • Perform other tasks assigned by superior

Job Requirements

Educational Qualifications/ Experience required:

  • Bachelor Degree and any master degree related with applied position
  • Diploma in supply chain management, logistics will be advantage
  • Over 6 years’ experiences in similar position

Skills and Knowledge required:

  • Strong knowledge of productivity tools, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Highly dependable and trustworthy
  • Extremely effective communication skills with a talent for operating across different levels of an organization
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong in inter-personal and leadership skills
  • Be honest, courtesy and highly responsible and initiative person
  • Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality
