On behalf of our Client,  a leading market expansion services provider, we are looking for an Assistant General Manager, Sales to be based at their offices in Yangon, Myanmar.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages departmental operating budgets and costs according to annual allocation to ensure efficient usage of resources, where applicable
  • Develops sales strategies for assigned businesses/territories
  • Contributes sales strategies for individual products in consultation with the Client Management team
  • Assigns geographical sales territories and establishes budgets
  • Establishes and monitors key performance indicators to manage geographical territories' performance
  • Leads the development and implementation of short- and long-term sales plans
  • Oversees sales activities and initiates and cascades new/improved strategies and plans based on changing markets and trends
  • Leads pricing and contract negotiation activities to facilitate sales agreements and achieve targeted margins
  • Leads new/enhanced product solutions to best address customer need based on product gap analysis
  • Oversees sales forecasting and reporting processes/activities
  • Contributes to customer base expansion strategies based on the effectiveness of sales strategies/plans
  • Oversees the development and implementation of continuous improvements to sales processes, sales plans, customer satisfaction, etc.
  • Monitors the department accounts receivable days closely and oversees collection trends
  • Leads and guides resolution of complex customer issues
  • Develops and builds long-term strategic relationships with key customers to achieve business objectives
  • Collaborates with cross-functional leaders in anticipating client needs, defining, and leveraging cross-product/industry business opportunities
  • Ensures efficient and effective route to market implementation, ensures smooth operations and engagement with sub-distributors
  • Drives/enhance distributors for all clients
  • Provides sales forecasting on an ongoing basis
  • Ensures the performance management process is fully embedded in the sales organization
  • Sets direction and cascades team/function goals to ensure goals are well-defined and clearly communicated
  • Drives and manages learning and development of the team in the area of Field Sales
  • Drive self-learning and improvement in the area of Field Sales

Job Requirements

Job Requirements

•  University degree in Business Studies or Business Management or Sales & Marketing Management

•  Minimum eight to ten years' experience in a similar role

• Minimum three to five years' experience in a managerial capacity

• Demonstrate advanced knowledge and understanding of the industry/ market/ competitors/ customers

• Demonstrate advanced knowledge and a proven sales track record in assigned territories/ products/ services and an existing network of contacts

• Excellent negotiation skills, advanced research, and analytical skills

• Excellent interpersonal and networking skills

• Able to work with diverse cultures and multiple levels

• Excellent command of English language

• Willing to travel as business trips
