Job Description

• In addition to the above, liaise with the business users and the functional management to enhance the IT Application Systems architecture and overall alignment to the business needs

• Provide required support to the reporting management when attending on the IT risks and audit compliance related activities.

• Provide application support for overall system testing process as necessary

 • Ensure availability of technical documentation required for maintenance of the IT Application Systems, including system architecture and process flow diagrams, data communication and integration methodologies, database structures and design related details etc

• Ensure applications are developed and transferred to production environments in compliance to the AIA standards. • Provide technical support in troubleshooting the application related issues.

• Provide necessary technical support in BAU as well as special tasks relating to BCP / DR activities

• To analyze business issues and recommends best practices and technical expertise and solves straight forward problems by applying innovative solutions

• To review Business Scenario and test scripting in ensuring they are in line with the business requirements. To conduct the review sessions with the users to ensure acceptance and signed off by users

• To lead a group of business analyst/business analyst in Business Requirement scoping and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning and execution, ensure business process training to testers for comprehensive system testing.

• To identify potential risks and to suggest mitigation action

• To proactively escalate potential concerns or issues for management attention and decision

• To allocate appropriate resources to undertake the day to day activities and to ensure the agreed timeline for every activity are met

• To identify training needs for the team member

• To mentor and to provide guidance to the team member to ensure the needs are addressed

• To ensure personal development for self-improvement and build positive working relationships within the team

• Project manage the business and IT system enhancement/ new product launch and new initiatives to ensure quality delivery and launch within timeline.

 • Prepare overall status and activity metrics that documents and tracks delivery of IT services, planned and unplanned system outages, and other key IT performance metrics

 • Maintains overall security of the data privacy and network to ensure proper compliance in place. 

• Ensures high availability of critical business systems/applications.

 • Manage staff members in their daily activities as well as supporting any other /IT/Group projects

• Develop and manage relationships with vendors in support of staff augmentation and systems support

• Manage overall capacity utilization of server/hardware environment ensuring it is optimized to meet business requirements

• Timely update of enterprise standards and technology architecture and the IT operations governance process. 

• Participate actively with suggestion and to execute the action plan as deemed appropriate in all aspects of tasks as required to ensure timeline is met without any delays.

 • Support the Head of Application / CTOO in all aspects of discipline and as when required. 

• To work closely with the relevant parties including the Group Tech Office and or Group Tech Risk to carry out the disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity methodology (BCM) as per the agreed timeline.

 • To monitor the completion and closure of all the relevant Technology Incident Management (Tim) within agreed timeline.

• To raise and escalate all incidences and issues timely for resolution.

• Monitor and review policies and procedures such as user log-on and authentication rules, security breach escalation procedures, security assessment procedures and use of firewalls and encryption routines. 

• To lead day-to-day operations of end-user support in line with agreed Service Levels and ensure appropriate cover for out of hours support within internal team or external vendors.

• To ensure there is adequate cover to support end-user support on a daily basis and that any incidents are requests are responded and resolved within agreed SLAs. 

• To ensure end-user support have the correct controls in place to protect from all significant external and internal threads. 

• To investigate and resolve technical challenges within IT team and support the senior management level in operation decision making. Authorise or reject actions as required to maintain a cohesive IT services provided to AIA Myanmar.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computing, engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 8 years in IT related experience with 5+ years of IT project management/delivery experience, preferably in MNC
  • Has good domain knowledge of similar/related industry and has good knowledge/understanding in Sales, CRM and Policy Admin systems
  • Having technical/development experience and hands on will be a plus
  • Experience with both in-source and out-source model
  • PMP certified is preferred
  • ITIL certified (or) completed exam prep course with solid knowledge /experience is a plus
  • Problem solver / Go getter attitude
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Good decision making and conflict resolution skills
