On behalf of our Client, a leading freight forwarder. We are looking for a: Assistant Manager (Customer Service)  to be based at their offices in Yangon, Myanmar.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the management & development of the local ocean & air customer service operations (Import & Export)
  • Manage all financial functions including daily/ weekly maintenance of volume data reporting, monthly rolling forecast, etc.
  • Ensure the highest levels of productivity of CS department & quality of services to customers
  • Provide timely and consistent quotations for both Sales & Operations department
  • Coordinate with shippers, truckers, steamship line, agent offices & overseas offices under Group for the exports & imports shipments
  • Perform complete processing of documentation including bill of ladings, invoicing certificate of origin, export declaration, etc., data quality, bookings, forwarding, follow-up, tracking, problem identification and resolution within the given time
  • Manage the SCM clients under nominations and coordinating with the CFS for loading follow ups
  • Distribute information vital to operations and the general conduct of business
  • Assist the Head of the department with budget on branch and department levels for business areas under his/her jurisdiction
  • Adhere to the budget guidelines and observe/ report negative deviations
  • Implement and organize procedures, process flow and customer relations.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements

  • University degree or similar qualification in Business Management or related field
  • At least (6) years’ experience in related International Freight Forwarding Customer Services
  • Experience in Freight Forwarding industry is a must
  • Having knowledge of operations, administrative and accounting
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, sociability skills and multicultural skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent command of the English Language
