Evaluates electrical systems, products, components and applications by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of electricity and materials.
Confirms system’s and components’ capabilities by designing testing methods; testing properties.
Develops electrical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials.
Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for building and assembling electrical components; soliciting observations from operators.
Assures product quality by designing electrical testing methods; testing finished products and system capabilities.
Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests.
Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.
Keeps equipment operational by following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures; requesting repair service.
Maintains product database by writing computer programs; entering data.
Completes projects by training and guiding technicians.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Confer with engineers, customers and other to discuss existing or potential engineering projects and products.
Design implement, maintain and improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products and system for commercial, industrial and domestic purposes.
Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes and customer requirements.
Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction and installation standards and specifications.
Inspect completed installations and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
Plan and implement research methodology and procedures to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects.
Prepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment.
Supervise and train project team members as necessary.
Investigate and test vendors’ and competitors’ products.
Oversee project production efforts to assure projects are competed satisfactorily, on time and within budget.
Prepare and study technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems, and topographical maps to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements.
Investigate customer or public complaints, determine nature and extent of problem, and recommend remedial measures.
Plan layout of electric power generating plants and distribution lines and stations.
Assist in developing capital project programs for new equipment and major repairs.
Develop budgets, estimating labor, material and construction costs.
Compile data and write reports regarding existing and potential engineering studies and projects.
Collect data relating to commercial and residential development, population and power system interconnection to determine operating efficiency of electrical systems.
Conduct field surveys and study maps, graphs, diagrams and other data to identify and correct power system problems.
Help to oversee the day-to-day operation of the processing plant
Monitor project progress and deal with problems
Work closely with Production Process and health and safety managers.
Work with plant designers and engineers to design machinery, Electrical and other equipment
Communication with EI, Government Electrical Department for approval.

Oral communication and interpersonal skills to explain rules and procedures clearly to the public
Problem-solving skills to gather relevant information to solve vaguely defined practical problems
Must be innovative, detail-oriented, experienced in highly visible/ controversial projects
Capable of managing multiple, high-priority assignments
Strong analytical skills to interpret research data for reports and apply mathematic techniques in practical situations
Reading comprehension to understand technical and legal materials.
Ability to provide effective supervision and staff management.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment as needed
Should possess a recognized degree in suitable discipline.
AGTI/BE (Electrical/Electronics) and other related qualification Electronic Systems, Electronics Troubleshooting, Electronic Testing Design, Project Management, Quality Focus, Database Design, Analyzing Information, Reporting Research Results, Attention to Detail, Emphasizing Excellence, Innovation.
Must be computer literate and families with email, Auto CAD 2D, Microsoft Word and able to prepare Power Point Presentations.
