The incumbent needs to possess acumen for the major duties, tasks, and responsibilities that make up the work functions of YOMA Bank Litigation (Court Cases) Assistant Manager.

Collect the documents from branches and product teams necessary to initiate filing in court for each account approved for legal action. Prepares all legal documents required for a case preparation for filing to court.

Familiarize the specific nature of various YOMA Bank loan products, existing ones and new loan products in future, and how the accounts are created, interest charged, penalties applied, restructured and renewed.

Always adhere to standard procedures of legal process and documentations of filing: approval, agreements, loan documents, legal-related docs, contracts with case lawyers.

Work out the accounts exposures and calculate the interest, penalties by the System or by court decrees.

Write the meeting minutes, court case reports, replies to lawyers and court, agreements with customers.

Keep ongoing court cases organized by establishing and reviewing legal process; monitoring calendars; upcoming actions and schedules, documenting actions;

Input updated and accurate court case status information into the centralized spreadsheets and store in share drives once the case status updated by the bank lawyer. Explore potential ways of settlement on each assigned case and suggest to Management to speed up the loan-recovery through litigation

Closely follow up the lawyers and branches regarding the status of court case, assist necessary alert to the reporting manager for required actions to take.

Follow up on external lawyers of the cases assigned to ensure regular attendance at court pendings, speed up the cases at courts, get regular case-updates

Regularly attend to court pending as the bank’s Plaintiff in individual court cases, together with the necessary arrangements of required documents, calculations, transports, reporting, updating in system, prior preparation with the lawyer, etc.

Regularly update and report the progress of the cases in the system, share files.

Maintains the expenses of the case by verifying outstanding balances with attorney, clients, and other claimable expenses of the account.

Always initiate to negotiate with customers and defendant lawyers for the settlement options, and report to management with potential settlement proposal.

Follow up on partial or full settlements approved and execute settlement procedures with branches, Enterprise Risk Management and Finance teams

Record, update, monitor Provision, Write-offs, Valuations of court case accounts

Help develop cases by maintaining contact with people involved in the case; scheduling meeting (teleconference)
