Position Objective

The primary purpose of the Assistant Product Manager is to support the Product Manager in the development and execution of the product strategy, by managing the product lifecycle, validating market opportunities and conducting market analysis.

 

This position exists to ensure that the product is successful in delivering value to the customer and meeting the organization's goals and objectives.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conducting market research and competitor analysis to arrive at new product ideas that meet customers’ needs, sales force’s expectations and fit the company’s business strategy.
  • Gather product related market intelligence information and make relevant analysis to support product conceptualization and development.
  • Write policy contract and work with other relevant teams to support product submission to the regulator.
  • Prepare & develop product related documents with support of relevant teams such as product specification and other product related documents for product development.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to propose and implement marketing plan for new and existing products covering all elements of the marketing mix. This covers product positioning and packaging that ensure growth of product range and rider attachment ratio.
  • Support Marketing developing product marketing including brochures, leaflets, and other product communication related materials in a way that company products are well perceived by internal and external customers.
  • Collaborate with Marketing team to develop product related sales tools such as sales presenting materials, customer presentation etc.
  • Organize product launching to the market and distribution force with the support of subordinates.
  • Work with Training department to develops & delivers required new product/ technical training to sales managers/ trainers of respective channels and front-end staff.
  • Conduct post-launch review and suggest corrective actions to ensure product scalability & sustainability after product launching.
  • Support Head of Product in identifying areas for growth and create strategic product line roadmaps to help drive adoption of the product and differentiating features.

Job Requirements

•    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or related field. 
•    4+ years of experience in product management.
•    Knowledge of insurance products and processes. 
•    Project Management & Planning skills. 
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
•    Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. 
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related software
