Job Description

  • Review for the monthly NPL statements of all branches
  • Coordinate with relevant Loan Group Leaders in the Loan Department to find out the NPL status of the branches
  • Conduct phone call, text message or meet in person to request a refund/debt by following up the steps (Watch, Sub-Standard, Doubtful, Bad) listed on the monthly NPL list by communicating with Loan Group Leaders at the Head Office Credit Department and in touch with relevant branch in charge 
  • Analysis and evaluate each level of NPL (Sub-Standard / Doubtful / Bad levels) and debt collection must be done with special care
  • Contact with the loan customers and collect for the loan after checking bank statement and relevant loan file
  • Plan and negotiate loan repayment plan of loan customer
  • Monitor and make sure customers are paying interest regularly, and often visit insurance companies.
  • Report weekly to manager regarding with loan status updates by recording in a diary system of debt collection dates
  • Report on the business conditions of the loan customers and whether the insurance collateral has changed
  • Timely submission of Recovery Team Reports to Head Of Credit
  • Any other assigned duties by Head of Credit

Job Requirements

  • Any Bachelor Degree and/or professional diploma in Business Studies/Administration/Banking/Finance/Accounting
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in recovery and collection in banking/financial sector
  • Strong command over verbal/written communication in both Myanmar and English
  • High level of integrity and business ethics
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize activities in order to achieve desired results
  • Strong negotiation skills, liaison skills and be persuasive in nature in order to choose the alternative that is most desirable in resolving delinquencies
  • Should be aware of the relevant laws and acts
  • Good command of MS Office Application
