Job Description

Assistant Manager, SCM (Export & Import)

 

Principal Accountabilities:

  • To handle all relevant tasks in importing the company’s assets procured, as a part of the supply chain management, including producing and processing documentations to comply with regulations, as well as coordinating with relevant parties (such as government agencies and internal stakeholders ), in order to ensure that all assets are obtained and delivered efficiently.
  • To perform complex tasks in planning and managing the supply chain procurement regarding import/export management, in order to ensure that all activities are managed, stored and delivered efficiently. and in a timely manner.
  • Prioritize, run, execute, and implement supply chain initiatives and coordinate with relevant functions regarding procurement and supply chain management activities, to ensure efficient business operation.
  • Review and evaluate key reports on supply chain processes and risks, as well as engage in crafting basic solutions, to ensure smooth operations, and efficiency of the company’s performance in this aspect.
  • Support and take part in the day-to-day Supply Chain activities.
  • Ensure understanding of import process policy and procedures, in order to understand tasks needed to be carried out, according to function’s policies and frameworks, as well as to ensure alignment and compliance with legal regulations and with AML management overall direction, standards and governance.
  • Receive, review and process import documentation from vendors and suppliers to ensure smooth delivery of the assets.
  • Process documents as per import procedures and interface with other information system to provide updates and communications for internal and external customers, to produce timely and compliant customs releases working with external customs clearance agents.
  • Initiate communication with vendors to Atom Myanmar requirements of documentation process.
  • Make sure all communicated customs clearance agents are fully aware of AML standard complaisance policy.
  • Monitor, track and report each shipment, in order to ensure timely delivery of shipments after release.
  • Perform analysis on benchmarking organizations in order to adopt market best practices into organization
  • Assist to perform conventional assignments or to identify and respond generic, basic issues, in order to ensure better understand of the processes for future references.
  • Prepare and maintain all original documents and scan digital copy for internal record of Trade payments and government auditing purpose with proper arrangement.
  • Learn to use professional concepts and company policies and procedures to solve patterned problems.
  • Contribute, if needed, to the implementation of a low, medium complexity strategic project, regarding procurement and supply chain management, under guidance, in order to support senior members in reporting of performance.
  • Be accountable for other certain works as assigned from immediate superior level.

Job Requirements

Required Skills & Experiences:

  • Bachelor’s degree, Diploma or any relevant fields
  • At least 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Area (import, inventory management, logistics). minimum 2 years of experience in team leadership
  • Project Management, Strong leadership, Communication, Presentation and Analytical Skills, Knowledge about inventory control, order management, distribution management and country's import/re-export process
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and across a matrix environment
  • Strong technical, structured approach, planning and execution skills
  • Excellent communication skill in English and Myanmar
  • Ability to work under high pressure and with time constraints
  • Literacy in Microsoft Office applications especially Excel and PowerPoint
