Job Description

The role holder would be responsible for the effective implementation and continuous adaptation of the technology risk management framework to ensure that information assets across the Bank are adequately protected with its risk appetite level and effective technology risk programs, strategies, practices, processes and systems are in place and functioning as intended.

  • Facilitate implementation of the Technology Risk Management (TRM) related policies and guidelines across the Bank
  • Independently verify the functional and technical controls with respect to technology risks as 2nd line of defense
  • Support other team members and departments in technology risk management activities including but not limited to technology risk identification and technology risk self-assessment
  • Work with the IT Department to drive initiatives to strengthen the Bank’s cyber resilience and risk mitigation controls
  • Review technology risks, security gaps, risk deviations and risk mitigation plans on regular basis
  • Collaborate with various internal stakeholders for escalation of any technology risks and/ or potential issues
  • Provide advisories on potential technology risks in relation to new digital initiatives as well as adoption of new and emerging technologies by the Bank
  • Submit regular progress reports and information to Head of Technology Risk Management in an accurate and timely manner and/or as and when requested
  • Assist Head of Technology Risk Management in preparation and submission of independent report to Board Risk Committee on the effectiveness of technology and cyber risk posture
  • Maintain accurate and timely communication of necessary information to other team members and departments
  • Build effective working relationships with other departments and employees conducive to positive collaborations and team efforts that contributes to the Bank’s overall success
  • Keep abreast of new developments, methods and techniques in banking industry

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree ideally in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or related fields
  • Preferred with professional certification and training in relevant areas such as Banking, IT Auditing, IT Compliance and Risk Management, Cyber Security, Computer System and Network Administration, Software Development
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Information Technology or related field with at least one year in a  financial institution
  • Intermediate level of English language (Written and spoken)
  • Intermediate level of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook)
  • Ability to work in team as well as individually
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details
  • High ethical standards and integrity in personal and professional dealings
  • Effective communication skills
