The role holder would be responsible for undertaking branch banking internal audit processes on the field and ensure effective execution of the same in line with organizational requirements.

1. Execute the branch banking audit plan and ensure effective implementation of the same in collaboration with the superiors
2. Identify and document control and process weaknesses and provide evidential support for findings
3. Conduct design and transaction level testing and offer recommendations for mitigating potential risks
4. Recommend initiatives (wherever noted) to address control weaknesses and process inefficiencies
5. Keep updates on regulatory requirements and guidelines applicable for the branch banking audits
6. Participate in closure meetings with the Audit Team Leader / Branch Audit Manager / Branch Banking Audit Head highlighting the open audit issues
7. Provide trends of issues observed over the past audits to the Audit Team Leader and Manager, seeking corrective action to be taken in respect of the observed trends
8. Work closely with branches to ensure effective roll-out and completion of audit activities
9. Observe confidentiality procedures, register and track accountable documentation to ensure security and control
10. Provide Audit Team Leader with regular progress reports and information in an accurate and timely manner and/or as requested
11. Convert data and information into excel charts, graphs and power point presentations, as per the requirement
12. Prepare work papers and ensure consistency between audit objectives, work program, audit testing, supporting evidence, and audit findings
13. Build effective working relationships with other team members and employees conducive to positive collaborations and team efforts that contribute to bank’s overall success
14. Keep abreast of new developments, methods and techniques in banking industry
15. Replace other audit executives in their absence and assist to manage their work
16. Take responsibility for self-development, completion of training programs/certifications

Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.

• Basic knowledge of Banking Industry and standard audit practices and ability to apply them;
• Ability to work in teams as well as individually

• Good knowledge of financial and operational audit; including bank or financial institution policies and procedures;
• Ability to assist in implementation of internal audit program for a bank;
