The Business Development Managers are concerned with improving and growing a business, by establishing and developing relationships with customers, suppliers, and other partners. research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Identifying, developing, and executing strategic growth opportunities
  • Explore new value creation opportunities created by various separation technologies with a focus on membrane separation in Life Sciences & Pharmaceutical markets.
  • Develop and manage a strategic growth plan in the FairDeal Co., in Ltd Pharmaceutical Markets.
  • Propose, screen, and close potential business deals which are in line with  FairDeal Co., Ltd.'s long-term growth vision.
  • Evaluate market trends the competitive landscape and advise on FairDeal product gaps.
  • Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
  • Cold call as appropriate within market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities. * Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
  • Managing the new business sales process from initial lead preparation, introductory call, and online capabilities demonstrations through to proposal and close.
  • Identify potential clients and the decision-makers within the client organization.
  • Research and build relationships with new clients.
  • Set up meetings between client decision-makers and the company’s practice leaders/Principals.
  • Plan approaches and pitches. * Work with team to develop proposals that speak to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
  • Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements, and working through differences to a positive conclusion. * Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
  • Monitor and analyze data and market conditions to identify competitive advantage
  • Keep accurate records and documentation for reporting and feedback.

Client Retention

  • Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.
  • Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.
  • Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.

Business Development Planning

  • Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
  • Present to and consult with mid and senior management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.
  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
  • Uncovering our pharmaceutical clients’ business information needs across a range of functions, including competitive intelligence, product marketing, market research, and medical affairs that our four intelligence streams provide solutions.

Management and Research

  • Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate.
  • Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s CRM or other sales management system.
  • Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets.
  • Work with Marketing   team   to ensure that prerequisites (like prequalification or getting on a vendor list) are fulfilled within a timely manner.
  • Understand the company’s goal and purpose so that will continue to enhance the company’s performance.
  • Monitor and analyze data and market conditions to identify competitive advantage
  •  Keep accurate records and documentation for reporting and feedback

Collaborating with the analyst team to identify new sales opportunities, campaign messaging and timely delivery of our insights to help solve client’s business problems

Job Requirements

Job Requirements

  • Business development management positions require a bachelor’s degree and 5-8 years of sales or marketing experience in the pharmaceuticals market.
  • An MBA is preferred as well.
