Job Description

The role holder is responsible to manage the risk and compliance, coordination with the relevant stakeholders, execution and validation.

  • Actively participates and assist to Head of Card Operation in developing and establishing strategic operations and policies to identify and act on opportunities for improvement and to maintain good cooperation with stakeholders.
  • Review new products or services launch and assure that material risks are appropriately identified and mitigated by input action plans.
  • Accurately, completely and timely records operational errors that result in financial losses, gains and near miss.
  • Assists and works closely with Head of Operation and Risk to monitor internal or external fraud, potential risk of operation.
  • Ensures ongoing transaction monitoring and suspicious activities identification using the fraud monitoring tools and system to assess the risk of fraud and proactively managing and act when fraud is discovered to prevent further loss.
  • Create new rules and review the existing rules of real time transactions and case creations for potential and high fraud risk transactions to mitigate the disputes and chargeback cases.
  • Escalate significant risk / loss to Head of Risk & Fraud, Head of Operation and other correspondent Business Owners as necessary.
  • Ensures proper internal / external fraud investigation by analyzing the transaction detail processing, interviewing the relevant participants in the fraud occurrence and prepare the investigation report and provide information (if necessary) to the Head of Fraud Investigation, Police, legal and other law enforcement agencies in respect of fraud cases.
  • Proposes control improvements, enhancements and simplifications where appropriate.
  • Monitor and Screen the clients’ information on the list of OFAC/PEP for AML overview purpose.
  • Responsible to report CTR, STR transactions and AML/CFT/PEP clients to the centralize compliance unit or FIU (if necessary).
  • Self-learning the new system of card management system and Management Fraud and Loss Control Monitoring Modules (i.e. VAA VRM, MasterCard Fraud Management System, Risk Management, Rule-Based Monitoring System)
  • Initiated and Tested for Fraud Monitoring and created the fraud rules for Card Transactional activities.
  • Work independently to analyze alerts and reports generated from multiple sources including detection software or other internal systems to detect and evaluate suspicious transactions activity.
  • Extract meaning from large quantities of complex data, make connections and identify anomalies, trends and reoccurrences as it relates to fraudulent activity.
  • Works with Head of Operation and Risk in providing support and train junior risk and fraud representative on new risk framework, policy and procedures.
  • Keep up-to-date with current fraud trends in the crypto currency & mobile payment and financial industries.
  • Develops a strong network of industry contacts, maintain the list of contact and contracts of stakeholders or vendors.
  • Ensure and maintain and File all legal documents and agreements as required for vendors, merchant signup and process for regular payment invoices approvals.
  • Ensures effective implementation of administrative tasks within the areas of Card & payment industry and assist to prepare, review and update SOP for Card Department.
  • Communicate changes in risk framework, policy and procedures to the first line of defense and ensure that all employees who are working for card payment service are being understood and followed to the procedure.
  • Monitors and supervises all aspects of operations to ensure compliance with Central bank and Other Associations’ rules and regulations, policies and standards of accountability, ethics and integrity and achievement of results.
  • Responsible for AML/CFT monitoring and create the red flags to comply with the AML regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinates with compliance / internal and external audits to solve regulatory / audit findings, audit preparation, audit engagements, responses to audit queries and observations, follow-up to ensure that all findings are remediated by committed timeliness and that the actual root cause are being addressed.
  • Review the compliance notification and non-compliance assessment to avoid the non-compliance fees and penalties.
  • Ensure all employees are educated on the latest regulations and processes and compliance notification and timeframe.
  • Manages and prepares the data and the reports to submit the periodical reports to respective financial institution and the card business association like CBM, Visa, Master, and UPI.
  • Review nearly all potential cases and determine if they are suspicious, compile a case summary and escalate to the appropriate team for investigation or for STR filling
  • Maintain, organize, update and achieve electronic and physical files of all STRs, supporting documentation and other critical documents.
