Job Description

The Category Specialist will be responsible to manage and develop the OA category lines, improve category performance, business performance reporting, generate new leads and expand client bases.

  • Analyze data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends regarding the category development
  • Support development and delivery of detailed category management plans and category action plans
  • Collaborating with internal teams and partners to expand new categories
  • Perform category analysis and performance review on a regular basic with key learning & recommendations
  • Identify and generate new business opportunities with potential and existing customers
  • Identify operational & technical obstacles, share with product development team to enhance user experience
  • Participate effectively to ensure team goals are achieved by providing input into decision making and problem solving
  • Engage and recruit potential partners based on category extension plan
  • Manage partner relationship, expectation and support partner’s official accounts to achieve the Official Account content worthy standard
  • Search leads and Follow through in partner recruitment
  • Responsible for category targets
  • Plan and execute category level strategy while collaborating with cross-functional teams such as community and product management

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in business, or category development roles
  • 1 – 2 years in retail, e-commerce or business environment
  • Bachelor degree or higher preferably in Business or Marketing
  • Expertise in category development
  • Comfortable with custom database and market research
  • Self-motivating and strong analytical, able to multitask under aggressive timelines
  • Excellent communication skills; fluent in English and Burmese
