Job Description

A Good Opportunity for ..

  • Develop plans, actions, and standard operating procedures for the operation of Engineering Department.
  • Maintain the highest possible quality standards in the hotel.
  • Require Maintenance for buildings, furnishings and equipment as necessary.
  • To be constantly alert for newer methods, techniques, equipment and materials that will improve the overall operation of the departments and will provide more efficient operation at reduced costs.
  • Inspects and surveys for compliance with departmental standards.
  • Monitors equipment and supply usage.
  • Be responsible for the proper scheduling of the department, keeping in mind the forecast of daily occupancy.
  • To be carried out Professional Manner and comply the Hotel’s Policies, Rules and Regulations constantly.
  • Coordinate with the Hotel Manager or the General Manager on hiring of immediate subordinates.
  • Develop job descriptions for all members of assigned staff.
  • Serve as expeditor on special projects assigned by the Hotel Manager or the General Manager or Director-2 of KMA Hotels Group.
  • Conduct employee performance appraisals on time, showing objectives and sincerely. Employees should be personally counseled toward improvement.
  • Develop a personal plan to carry out responsibilities.
  • Control product equipment inventory data base and maintain regular basis.
  • Prepare action plan and budget for departmental expenses, monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
  • Record and control power supply consumption.
  • Prepare Energy Saving Program.
  • Professionally work with constructors to coordinate renovation and remodeling projects and new construction.
  • The chief engineer is responsible for purchase of all machines and equipment, paints, oils, lubricants, grease, other raw materials and tools and instruments.
  • The chief engineer invites tenders and quotations, negotiates, finalize and awards the contract for maintenance and other works.
  • Budget-Estimated expenditure on staff salaries and allowances, maintenance contracts, training, purchase of equipment, materials, tools, instrument and furniture.
  • Manpower planning, - Estimating required technical manpower coordinating with personal department, HR to recruit additional manpower required.
  • Training and skill development of staff and employee under him.
  • Drafting, finalizing and implementing maintenance schedule through system of complaint registers and work orders.
  • Processing of bills- include bills for water, electricity, fuels etc.
  • Coordinating, supervision and inspecting – Schedules inspection and surprise inspection.
  • Familiar and complies with the hotels mission and standards in performing maintenance activities.
  • Maximize maintenance team potential with a balanced focus on operations, guests, and employee and owner satisfaction.
  • Represents the engineering department during the daily HOD morning meetings.
  • Prioritize, plan, schedule assign and supervise the engineering department staff.
  • Oversee the maintenance tasks, work orders and special projects ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Respond to guest’s maintenance needs promptly and ensure guests receive professional, efficient prompt and courteous service to hotel standards,
  • Maintain the physical appearance and operational efficiency of the hotel including physical, mechanical, electrical, plumbing etc.
