1. Help students plan and define high school curricula and guide students to choose among the preferred universities (Universities with contracts, agreements, MOUs).
2. Following written tasks should help college counselor to achieve the goal above:
a. Provide career and college entrance information and assistance to students, teachers, parents, and counselors; coordinate day-to-day operations and schedule activities, programs, and speakers.
b. Prepare career education and instructional materials for use by teachers and students. To assist students in locating and using college/career information as needed for research, assignments, and post-high school planning.
c. Obtain, organize, file, and display guidance materials; catalog and prepare for use by students; maintain displays and bulletin boards.
d. Contact, schedule, and arrange guest speakers from local and international colleges, business leaders, and professionals. Also, arrange trips to fairs, universities, and businesses to inform students.
e. Plan and conduct college and career-related information sessions for teachers, students, and parents.
3. Help and follow up students on choosing and taking academic, proficiency exams, or admission exams such as IGCSE, IB, A level, SAT extra. Also, consult and cooperate with the Vice Principal and Cambridge Exam Coordinator on this matter.
4. Expand the university agreement portfolio and help students to choose among these universities.
5. Coordinate activities with Alumni Coordinator about the 12th graders to prepare them for the post-high school life.
6. Teaches up to 12 periods/week. College Counseling duties, activities and programs shall not interfere with teaching schedule.
7. Perform related duties as assigned.
8. The position reports to Student Wellness and Leadership Coordinator.
