Position Purpose
Support the Chief Risk Officer and Head of Risk Governance & Compliance in implementation of Wave Money’s Compliance Framework in the business and educate management and the Board on compliance-related matters within the business

Key Result Areas
• Assists in the process of management of risk related to adherence of laws and regulations to which DMM is subject
• Supports the Head of Risk Governance & Compliance and local policy owners to assess Compliance with board-approved policies and related procedures
• Assists with the development of compliance program and reviews the status of compliance risk and mitigating activities
• Identifies and escalates to Head of Risk Governance & Compliance any material risk changes related to compliance
• Identifies and escalate to Head of Risk Governance & Compliance any noncompliance with Group Code of Conduct and Policies including but not limited to Compliance and Risk matters
• Coordinates the timely preparation and submission of regulatory reporting

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
• Assess regulation to identify compliance requirements and participate in development of implementation and testing plans
• Produce analytics, reporting and insight used to manage compliance and testing of compliance
• Manage the execution of compliance with AML/KYC requirements including suspicious transaction monitoring and scenario development
• Review current documentation of work process and reporting
• Identify and automate reporting task using available software and tools
• Provide “ad hoc” reporting and analysis
• Follow governance structure and risk management set by Group and Wave Money

Experience, Functional Skills and Knowledge Areas
Experience and knowledge area:
• Previous experience in compliance, internal control, risk management, or audit. Relevant experience in a Financial Institution or Mobile Operator and/or a holder of appropriate qualifications will be an advantage.
