Role Description 

The Corporate Accountant oversees the Reporting function and focuses on delivering timely and accurate financial statements and reporting. This role is responsible managing and directing several reports by allocating tasks amongst team members and driving team performance. 

Duties and Responsibilities 

• Track and review inputs of working capital (AR/AP/Inventory) and fixed assets 

• Track and review inputs of income and expenditures 

• Preparation of the monthly financial accounts for the Corporate entities 

• Preparation of the group's consolidated monthly management reports 

• Preparation of monthly group financial footnotes, i.e, AR/AP, Fixed Assets roll-forward, Leases, etc 

• Managing the monthly variance analysis 

• Providing commentary on financial performance 

• Ensuring all accounts are reconciled accurately 

• Liaising with the external Auditors 

• Preparation of monthly or quarterly business activity statements (BAS) 

• Supervising junior accounting staff

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance 

• Accounting certifications (CPA, ACCA or CIMA) highly preferred 

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience 

• Fluent in English 

• Extremely organized and attentive to detail 

• Strong with numbers 

• Thorough understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices 

• Excellent verbal and written skills 

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word 

• Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (“ERP”) software systems
