Job Description

A Good Opportunity for ..

  • Verify loan approval credit applications (new and renewal) within a delegated credit limit and prepare recommendations for approval, restructuring, or deferral of credit applications.
  • Analyze, discuss, recommend and approve terms and conditions of credit applications and related matters with sales and large deal credit committee.
  • Ensure SME credit policies are compliance with various first-line risk management functions and workflows including data integrity, portfolio quality and approval requirements
  • Build close working relationships with sales and acquisitions and risk management teams to analyze, structure, write and process credit applications, reviews and recommendations in a timely manner consistent with established business line service agreements.
  • Prepare annual credit reviews on assigned portfolio of loans/leases and review amendments seeking approval to modify the original transaction security or other credit conditions.
  • Ensure required reports and financial data are received and analyzed promptly in accordance with loan commitments.
  • Exercise wise judgment when making risk assessment decisions regarding terms, credit limits, and payment plans, and customer history.
  • Monitor small enterprise credit analysis, SWOT analysis, the credit assessment, financial analysis, cash flow projection, management experience, ability & skill set assessment, business & industrial outlook.
  • Responsible for investigating and verifying financial status and reputation of prospective customers applying for credit, preparing documents to substantiate findings, and recommending rejection or approval of applications.
  • Reviews collection reports to ascertain status of collections and balances outstanding and to evaluate effectiveness of current collection policies and procedures.

  • Documentation and organization skills 
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Good presentation and communication skills
  • Experience in leading a sizable team with good people management and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and time management skills  
  • A bachelor's or master’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, risk management and other related fields
  • Knowledge and interest in the financial services industry
  • Five to ten years of strong quantitative experience
  • Experience in SME Banking or Microfinance Institutions would be given preference
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office and general computer use
  • Impeccable understanding of financial statements, ratios, and concepts
